The Thrill of a Lifetime

That merry-go-round ride at Richmond Center is one of the greatest inventions in my mind at the moment. I had the ride of a lifetime with my friends. Flashback moment. Wooooo. It all started when one of my friends saw some kids on the merry-go-round ride. She suggested that we went on as well. I sat on a little boat with who I think was Tigger. Then when all was so well, my ship got hijacked by my own friend. The agony!!! :'(  The lucky thing is that it was our turn on the merry-go-round! :) Yay!!! Since Anthea (the only name I will mention) paid, she got to choose her seat first. She chose the turtle that i had my eyes on. We're too alike. So I chose a seahorse, I named him Lightning! :) One of my other friends chose Nemo! Then the ride started. My friend on Nemo was bragging how I'll never catch up to her since Lightning was behind her. It was all fine at first, but then Anthea started complaining about how her butt was hurting so much. The turtle was for REALLY little kids like tottler little. There's no way we'll actually fit in that seat. My leg kept hitting one of Lightning's fin and my foot kept getting jammed somehwere. Anthea eventually got up from her seat because it was hurting her too much and just squated and held onto one of the bars. The only one without injury was my friend riding Nemo and my smart friends who decided not to go on. It was definately a ride to remember. :)

A Day of Pure Laziness

I feel kind of guilty at the moment for doing absolutely nothing today when I had A LOT of things to do. It's a really bad habit of mine. I always put things off to the absolute last minute. I try to correct the bad habit but no matter how hard I try, it never seems to work. I have been getting better though, at least I know I have a problem. At the very top of things to do today that didn't get finished, the brain project and science fair display. I never do extremely well with big projects. I can't exactly pace my work speed. :( My goal for tomorrow is to at the very least finish my brain project notes and start on a design idea for my science fair display. I'll give a half report tomorrow. Doing a full one will be a little difficult but I can try. AHHHH! Said the word "try". Yep, trying to correct more than one bad habit now. This might turn out to be a productive break after all... Yeah, probably not but there's always that little bit of hope. :)

Richmond Center

My little theory of prices was right! I went to Richmond Centre with my friends today and the prices were much cheaper than the ones in Metrotown! I can't believe it! Other than that, I had a lot of fun just hanging out with my friends. We were going to watch a movie but all of the show times were after 4:00PM and that was the exact time I have to start going home. How... inconvenient? One of my friends suggested going to Oakridge to watch the movie but that would leave no time for Richmond Centre then. She really wanted to watch the new Narnia movie. It was supposed to be really good. The rest of the day just sort of went by. We went into a couple of stores, didn't buy that much in the end though. It was fun going on the miniature Merry-Go-Round even if it hurt my foot. It kept getting stuck because the ride was designed for kids 8 years younger than us. :) It's still fun going on those rides. :) I think that was actually the highlight of my day. I don't lead a very exciting life. This is as thrilling as it gets.

Reunion :D

I finally got to see one of my bestest friends from elementary school again. I can't usually see her because she's going to Prince of Wales instead of great CHURCHILL!! Last year, me and some of my other friends were trying to convince her to go to Churchill instead but since her brother goes to Prince of Wales her parents think it's better if she goes there too. We just sort of hung out today. me, her, and another good friend. I prefer not to mention names here for privacy purposes. First, we went to annoy one of my other friends who eventually joined us. I actually got lost looking for her home. Turns out, it was 72nd st instead of 71st. I was so sure that it was 71st! After that, we were just at the park. We were really loud so a lot of people seemed like they were wondering what in the world we were doing. There wasn't that many people at the park though. It may be because that we went to the old park instead of the new one. We went to the new one as well but there weren't any people there either. Weird... Usually there are a lot of people. Maybe an alien from Pluto came to visit and took them as souvenirs! Yep, that's probably it! :)

Winter Break's Ending...

NOOOO!!! Winter Break's going to be over soon!! NOOO!! It went by soooo quickly! It's like it was only yesterday that I was enjoying the BEGINNING of Winter Break. I only have less than a week to enjoy myself. I only have less than a week to catch up on all the work for the brain project!!! AHHHH!!! I'm going to be soo busy!! I can almost feel tears streaming down my face. Yeah, I'm that lazy. I do have a lot of work to do though. Like starting on the presentation and doing some notes. I'm so far behind... I have to get over procrastination!!! It's always been a bad habit of mine. I always put things off to the last minute kinda like what I 'm doing now. I'm going to be so stressed... Sorry if this blog's really depressing. I needed a place to vent... I should still get my sleep so that's what I'm going to do now. Tomorrow is the start of WORK!! At the moment, it's seems like a LOT of WORK!!!

Boxing Day

Boxing Day. Also known to many as happy shopping day. Or maybe save money on clothes day. Are you really saving money? According to an insider, a person part of the merchant business, you might not be actually saving money. The insider's identity will not be revealed... Wow, that sounded so much like a news report. The facts are true though. Sometimes they just stick a 50% off sign to it without actually giving you a discount. No wonder there's a similar holiday called Black Friday. There is right? I'm not so sure if I got the holiday exactly right. One of my friends told me about it. I didn't but too much stuff today. I was out for around 5 hours but i think 2 hours were already used on parking and LINES!!!! I only went to around 8 stores. All I bought were 3 T-shirts. I went to the Metrotown mall so that might explain the reason behind the crowdiness. The prices are actually MORE expensive than the stores in Richmond Center! The same stores, same items, different original price. I'm guessing it's because of the mall's reputation. I just go to metrotown because they have one of my favourite stores that isn't in Richmond Center. Oh well. :)

Yesterday's Christmas Eve PARTY!!!

Now I shall tell you the details of yesterday's party but not in extreme detail. I got there at about 4:30- ish. I'm not sure of the exact time because I didn't check the clock until it was time to eat. I'm only guessing the time. There wasn't anything that happened that was really "different". It was pretty much the same as what happens when I go there. The parents do their things and we just go to someone's room and hang out there. the reason, not as much noise so we can actually hear each other talk. The party also proved that I have the worst memory in the WORLD! They gave me a list of names and things then told me to remember as many as I can. Out of 10, I got one correct. In my defense, they were really difficult names not common ones. The only one i got right was penguin. There's no way I can forget that! :) The other ones I got, I forgot again. I really have to improve my memory somehow...

Christmas Eve PARTY!!

The party's actually today so there isn't too much to say about it right now. All i know at the moment is, i'm going in a couple of minutes. The reason that i'm writing my blog now because when I get home, it'll probably be very late. I should know from last time and last time was just a "small" gathering of friendly friends! Yep, I'm prepared!! i'm going to the same house as the one I stayed over in for a few days. The party was originally supposed to be held in my place but then a lot of people wanted to come so we're holding it at a friends instead. They have a bigger house with more room. :) I don't think I have to bring anything other than myself and my cellphone this time since I'm not staying over. Details of what happens will be revealed at a later date. Some things will remain confidential. Oooh, mysterious... I don't think something like that will come up anytime soon though. I'm quite open with these kind of things. :)

I kinda admire Spongebob. Being able to live through life without a bother. It's almost a skill! While everyone else has something to worry about, he has nothing! NOTHING!!! I salute you Spongebob! But you are still number two on my favourites list. PENGUINS are still number 1. Yay! And yea, I use the Canadian spelling of favourite. I try to use the Canadian version everytime, even if the spell check always tells me i spelt it wrong.

A Relaxing Day

AHHH! I can't ever keep track of how many blogs I write! Yesterday's was the 26th and today is the 27th, I just noticed that! It's like I have to make a tally chart just to remeber how many blogs I wrote. Everyday my memory is fading away... One day I won't even remember where home is!! AHHHHH!! Well, that just completely ruined my relaxing day. I'm quite proud to say NOTHING happened today! In my mind at least. I got up, ate breakfast, and then it became night again! I'm pretty sure i slept more than half the day away. At least i caught up on all of the sleep I lost and will lose. Yes, I know the future. Wooooo, freaky... No, it's because a lot of parties and shopping is coming up since it is CHRISTMAS!! Tis the season to be shopping. Falalalalalalalala. A new twist to and old song. I should really make more, but I'm too busy. At least to me. Then again, I'm always busy in my mind. It makes me look like I work harder than I actually do. Teehee.

Home Sweet Home

Yep, back home again. I actually asked to stay for an extra day because I was having so much FUN!!! Maybe I should've asked to stay for ANOTHER day. I'm not sure if my mom would let me though... She probably would, at least I hope so. I'm quite tired right now, today was exhausting. Either that or I had too much fun that I couldn't take it!! Today's activities were similar to yesterday's, not much of a difference except, no pizza today. :( We had homemade crepes instead! My friend's pretty good at cooking so she made me and another friend of mine a batch. They aren't relatives, their parents bought the house together. One family lives upstairs, one downstairs. We're good friends though, we just stay upstairs because there's more room. That's all for today, not much to say. Good night! :)

Pizza and Dentists

As you know, I'm staying at a friends house since my mom ditched me for a party. Okay maybe not ditched since she actually asked me if I wanted to go. But I said no. I'm gonna be like the only kid there then. I'm going to be so lonely. That is if I did go. Haha. Today is my second day at my friend's house. It's quite nice here and they love me. :) Just joking! Well, I hope they like me... because if they don't well that's just kinda awkward. The highlight of today PIZZA and DENTISTS!! Actually the dentists came before the pizza. One of my friends had to go get her teeth cleaned. Since there were a few pizza shops near by, we went for pizza after. One of us liked Panago, one like Pizza Hut. The solution, we went for...BOTH!! YAY!!! Today was fun and um in a way entertaining. I have to cut this blog short because people are coming over now. I don't think I'll be able to write a blog in all the commotion. okay, that's all for today! You'll see another blog tomorrow. HAHA!!! Just felt like saying that, there really isn't any reason. :)

Preparations for Tomorrow Night

What's so special about tomorrow night? I'm staying at a friend's house because my mom has to go a company party and I don't really want to go. I think it'll be kind of weird if I go because I think I'm the only kid going so it's kind of uncomfortable for me. :) Now I have prepared a check list for tomorrow. Just in case I don't forget to bring anything.

1. toothbrush and toothpaste
2. face cleanser and lotions
3. sleeping bag (just in case)
4. netbook
5. ipod :)
6. a good book
7. pajamas

I think that's pretty much it. Not much else to bring. Of course everything's carried in my duffel bag. :) Can't forget that. I think that's all I'll really need. I really hope I didn't forget anything. I better make another list on paper just in case. Lalalalala... :)

Last Day Before Winter Break

Today I'm both sad and happy. Why the mix of emotions? Not very complicated when you think about it. Happy because it's the holidays, no work! Yay! :) More time for rest. Sad because now a lot of my friends live far away now, I won't be able to see them over the holidays. :( One good thing is that I'll be able to see some of my friends from elementary school. I haven't seen them for so long, I wonder if they changed. I'm going to schedule some times that we can see each other. I don't know if I can fit them in but I'll find a way. My two weeks of vacation are going to be so busy. On a completely different topic, I found out a way to make a penguin using symbols! Look, <("). PENGUIN!! I love penguins. :) I'm kinda happy that they aren't going to be extinct anytime soon. At least that's all that i know. :)

Circle the Cat

AHHH! That game is addictive. I just keep playing it over and over again even though I never win. I don't really mind. I just keep trying and trying. In the end, i think I trapped the cat for a total of 5 times. I'm quite proud of myself. :) So what if others got 24 or 30, I got 5!!! A little bit of drama there. After I got home, I kept trying.  I played for half an hour and trapped him another 1 time. I still am proud. Now my goal over the holidays, since I'm not going anywhere and the weather forecast said it's not going to snow, is to find a way to win that game everytime. A strategy, a plan! This could take me quite a while but I don't mind! I have many days alone at home to "work". Only the first week I'm going to parties, second week at home. Relaxing. It's too bad that I can't use the bathtub. Apparently it's too old and some of the paint came off. Eww. If I could use it, I would've planned a little spa day for myself and my mom when she gets back from work. Well, time for bed now. Good night! :)

Secret Santas

I'm quite happy with my secret santa gifts. Actually, very happy! :) For both the synergy and the secret santa with my friends I got a penguin. I love penguins so much!! No idea why. I think it started two years ago, I'm not sure of the reason though. For the synergy secret santa, I got a white penguin with a blue scarf. I think you might have saw that one in the theaters when I tried to open the gift and my friend had to help me. It was so cute. Not to mention soft. :) Good times. I still don't know who my synergy secret santa is though. Oh well. I'll eventually find out. I hope. :) The penguin I got from my friend was from Build-A-Bear-Workshop. It's quite big and incredibly ADORABLE!!! i wonder if there's a shop near by so I can buy him a shirt or something. By the way, I named the penguins Rosaline, the synergy penguin, and Sir Fishious S. Penguini the Great. It's a nice name and extremely long. Haha. :)

Concert and a TEST

AHHH! Today was supposed to be relaxing but instead it was quite STRESSFUL!!! Sorry that I'm kinda venting right now. Needed to do that eventually. I just got home like 10 mins ago and I still need to study for a Socials Studies test that is TOMORROW!!! I didn't really study on the weekend so I'm freaking out right now. I know I should've studied but on the weekend i had to finish my Science homework that took all day Sunday. Saturday I wasn't even home at all. Well, execpt for sleeping. :) I'm not sure why I had to stay for the entire concert, the Grade 8 Strings only played for about 10 minutes and the concert is over 2 hours long. It doesn't make much sense to me. Now I have to start cramming for the test. Sigh. I wonder what time I'll be able to get to sleep today...

Gifts

Wrapped some gifts today. Well, mainly just for the synergy secret santa and the secret santa me and my friends are doing. We decided to do that instead of buying like 15 gifts. Way out of our budget. I actually bought the gifts on Saturday but I'm wrapping it today. Maybe I shouldn't call it wrapping because I technically didn't wrap them. I just put them in a bag, put some tissue in it, added a card and did some decorating. I'm not good at using wrapping paper and actually wrapping the gift. It always looks deformed after. I stuck to gift bags ever since. So much easier to use. I'm still not sure when we're doing the secret santa tomorrow. Are we doing it at oakridge or at school? For the strings people, when are we doing secret santa? I heard that we're doing it at the flagpole after lunch but the strings people have to go to practice. Thanks for your help and sorry I asked last minute. :)

A Sunday of Art

I guess you can also call this blog "a sunday of homework". It really depends on how you look at this. The homework assignment is technically art so it is homwork. It was so tiring! I started at 10 this morning and I just finished a few minutes ago. An entire day of drawing, finelining, writing, and colouring. My head hurts quite a bit right now so I'm going to head off to bed soon. I had to take a quick shower today and I broke my record shower time. Today I only took 20min instead of 30-40 minutes. So tired. That's pretty much all that happened today. Homework and more homework. I know I shouldn't complain but sometimes it's hard not to. Especially when I get a difficult assignment. I should really get to bed now. I'll write more tomorrow. I'm setting a goal first. I'm not going to miss another blog in term 2 and the most I'll miss in term three is 1. Yep. No more forgetting for me. At least I hope so.

A Busy Weekend

I'm probably going to have a very busy weekend this week. First I have to finish drawing my science comic. Then I have to fineline and colour. It sounds so difficult. Well, maybe not exactly difficult more like it's going to take a long time. Then i have to start on my science fair check in. This probably shouldn't take too long. It doesn't look that hard at least. One of the most important things I have to finish, notes for the Brain Project! I didn't really have any notes completely done. I should also send the sheet soon too. So many things to do this weekend! That reminds me, I also have to go present shopping. That's fun though. Yay! Me and my friends decided to also do secret santa so we won't have to buy 15 gifts just for gift exchange. One question for the Synergy Christmas party. Since the people in Strings have to stay behind for a while, when are we going to do the secret santa gift exchange? Thanks and good night! :)

The Wednesday of Rain

It was raining so much today. it was very depressing. I had to stand outside in the rain for 30 min just waiting for the bus! There wasn't a little shelter on my streetside so I literally had to stand in the rain. My violin case got so wet and the rain even went into my backpack! my report card got kind soggy because it was at the very top of my backpack so it wouldn't get wrinkled. Luckily the bus driver gave me and my friends a free ride! i don't know if it's because it's the holidays or because we had to wait for so long. It was a really nice thing to do. :) That's pretty much the highlight of my day. Yeah, not too much happened today. My friend showed me this extremely funny e-mail between to people. So one person lost their cat and told the other person to help them make a missing poster. You actually have to see the pictures to understand what's going on so I put the link in this blog too. :) It's so funny! At least to me. :)

French Practice

Practicing for my French presentation almost for an hour now. Well, I haven't been extremely focused so I guess I got about 30 min of pure practice. The other 30 I was watching the Biggest Loser on TV. This was the first time I actually watched it for more than 5 min. I don't really know why I didn't like it before. When the people tell you why they want to lose weight, it wasn't for beauty or anything but most of them said that it was for their family. They want to be there with their family longer and I thought that was really sweet. A moment to remember the tear shed in Socials today. in wasn't because I was sad or anything like that, we watched Gladiator today and there was this one scene where it showed the main character, Maximus, family get killed. It was because that he was supposed to be killed as well, but he managed to escape. It was so sad to see his sadness after he went through so much just to see his family again and then just to see them hung and burnt. That's what really broke my heart. Some of the scenes were really violent but yet I wanted to keep watching out of curiosity and ant the same time I didn't. I hate it when that happens. Wow. Big topic change in this blog. Maybe I should change the title now...

The Grinch

i don't know why but I just love the Grinch movies. I was watching one just now. :) I don't know why I like them. It's kind of like my strange obsession of penguins. I love penguins!!! I wanted to buy this penguin pillow/cushion/plushie. You see it's a 3 in 1. You can use it as a pillow or cushion and if you use the Velcro and sort of tie it up, it becomes a little plushie! Yay, let the hugging commence. Anyways back to the Grinch. I just think it's such a sweet story! In one version it tells you why he hated Christmas so much and his story was so touching. You can really understand why he just despised this holiday. Yet in a way he taught all the Who's what Christmas is all about by trying to ruin it. It's so ironic. In the end he realized his wrongs and it was just so sweet. I loved the saying about his heart size and it grew 3 sizes larger. Really, I love all the Dr. Suess stories. To me their classics. :)

Christmas Shopping

Today was the first day of Christmas shopping! Yay! I am sure there will be more but today is the first. Of this year. Not much was bought today actually. First me and my mom went to Staples to buy some refill paper for my binders and other staionary. I tried to find those incredible Sharpie pens but I never found them. The ink doesn't go through the paper because it's a pen not a marker! I never found it though. oh well. Then the normal shopping commenced. All we bought was a scarf, a new bag, and some gifts. The scarf was a gift too, just remembered. Luckily, we got a coupon from Bath and Body Works so that when we purchase more than $35 we get $10 off! I'm probably going to go buy gifts for my friends there now. Tee hee. Not much else happened other than homework. I should really start taking more notes for the brain project, I didn't get a lot done so far. I should probably send the CCRAP sheet too. Then make the cheat sheet for science. Wow, tomorrow's going to be VERY busy.

Freaky Yet Awesome Dream

My absolute favourite dream from this year is definately the Frozen Freezer Wars. Yes, I named the dream. It was too interesting to ingore. It all started with a popsicle. A yummy fudge-sicle. All was so nice, so peaceful. Then all of a sudden I was inside of the freezer. Trapped with no way out. I watched as the popsicles moved closer, growling and snarling. I ran. As fast as the wind coming from the vent. A popsicle jumped in front of me, blocking me. They began to close in on me, moving closer and closer. Making the circle smaller. I thought it was the end. The absolute end. Crunch! A army of penguins attacked the popsicles. So fiercely, so proudly. I slipped out of the circle and toward the penguins. One tossed me a waffle cone, the ultimate weapon. We dominated, we annialated, we drove those popsicles right out of the freezer. The celebration was fabulous. We danced and ate. Which led to the second Freezer War. The invention of the ice cream cone. The rebellion of the ice cream cones. Therefore, the Second Freezer War. I woke up right after the rebellion so I wasn't able to see the war. Oh well. Go penguins! :)

Testing Testing One Two Three

Why the strange title? I have 3 tests next week. One on Tuesday and two on Wednesday. I don't know if I can keep up with all of them. I also quite a bit of homework to do as well. It's a lot. I think my weekend would be spent on homework this week. I also want to do more notes for the brain project because I didn't get a lot done in class. Mostly because I wan't sure on how to narrow the subject down. If I chose a specific phobia, I could never find information. So I chose a type of phobia. Yeah, it's kind of confusing. I'm doing social phobias now though. There was a lot more information on this. I'm guessing that since it's the end of the term and it's almost winter break so the teachers want to get everything done. it's a lot of work for students though. Oh well. One thing I'm wondering, do I go see you after I get my report card? I'm still kind of confused. I'm very slow at processing information, I need a lot of time to get used to and understand things. Bird Sanctuary

The bird sanctuary was sooo much fun! Even if all the birds were mostly ducks, it was still a ton of fun. I didn't get a chance to eat any of the snacks that I brought though. I brought a lot. Cookies and pop tart. Yeah, it's not very healthy. Me and my friend named 4 ducks! The names, Fred, Bob, Bobby, and Baxter. Bob and Fred were our original fan club. They followed us throughout almost the whole tour! Then Bobby joined. Then the evil little Baxter. We could sort of tell which one is which because of their looks and the way they eat out of our hand. Fred and Bob very gentle, doesn't bite your skin. The difference between them, Bob has this mark on his beak. Bobby is gentle and a girl. Baxter kept biting my hand and even just held onto my finger. It hurt. :( Earlier on I took several pictures or chickadees. The pictures were actually pretty clear. My strategy was to stand right beside my friend, who is holding up the sunflower seeds, focus the camera and wait until one lands. Yeah... good times. The only bad thing was that my hot chocolate spilled all over my bag and now it smells like chocolate. Luckily, the camera didn't get wet. :)

Sooooo Tired!

I am soooo completely tired right now. I just finished drawing my english poster-ish thing and I am tired. I thought that we didn't have to colour then my plan would've been perfect and I would still get to bed on time. Then I found out colouring is required. NOOOOOO!!!! That's what went through my head. How am I going to finish?!?! I was also planning on finishing my math project, doing some more brain project notes, and studying for french! Yeah, I had a lot going on. I ended up not finishing any. Execpt the drawing, that's FINALLY finished. Working on it has been torture. I'm not sure I can think of a bright side to it. sorry that this blog's all complaints, I get very cranky when I'm tired. I really need to get to bed now. Otherwise tomorrow I'll be half dead. Not a very good thing. Maybe I can get some sleep on the bus. Yeah, that could work...

Yet Another Day

Nothing too special about today. Just an average day1. :) I found out that I'm getting 85.2% in english which is sooo sad (0.3% from an A!!) also because I'm getting that in math. It's ok though. I'll try harder next term. I learned how to play Twinkle Twinkle Little Starson the cello. Yes, it's genius. No need for applause. When I was getting back to my seat someone asked me about the bird sanctuary field trip. I completely forgot about it! I was even more shocked when I heard it was this Thrusday. This Thursday! AHHHH! I was thinking about going to buy myself a new pair of gloves because I lost my old ones. Tee-hee. I'm not organized. Now I'm doing some quick preparations and then SLEEP!! This is my chance to finally catch up on some sleep. YAY~ One quick question, is it ok if I hand in the field trip form and money on the day of the field trip?? Thanks, that's it for today. Square Dancing

Not loving square dancing at the moment. It kind of reminds me of ballroom dancing from the last 4 years. The big difference, the instructions. These ones are so much more confusing! I'm not very fast at learning steps because of my extremly bad memory so often I forget the steps and I can't hear the words in the song so I'm just there wondering what steps we're doing. I was also in a group with only Gr. 9's so they knew what they were doing. I was so alone! :( Next time I'm gonna try to stay with my friends, they can help me a bit more I think. Other than that, not much else happened. The only other thing is that I spent the rest of my time at home either studying for tests or at Safeway. I have 2 big tests tomorrow and I had to go grocery shopping. I barely had time for anything else! I have to go take a quick shower now and then head off to bed. I have to study a bit more for my tests in the morning before i go to school. I have it planned out. I think.

The Sunday of Relaxation

This Sunday was sooo...relaxing. It just seemed that I didn't have to do anything or worry about anything but just lie down and RELAX. As you probably know I got to bed really late last night and i still do want to get lots and lots of sleep during the weekend, I woke up at around 11:30 AM. I know what you're probably thinking, how can I possibly wake up that late. I'm not sure, all I know is that I woke up then fell asleep again. The rest of the day just sort of went by. I ate, I read, I watched TV, and I napped. Not much else. I also did homework. Not a lot though, just science. I probably should have practiced my violin too. Oh well, too late now. I'll just practice some more tomorrow. For some strange reason, I'm tired now. After all that sleeping I'm still tired! There's only one answer...more napping and more sleep. Good night everyone! :)

Yet Another Party

I had to go to yet another party again this week. I'm not really sure that it's called a  "party" more like a small gathering of friends. :) For some reason I'm going to one almost every week. Sometimes I don't want to go because I want to finish homework and other work but it seems kind of impolite just to say that. On the bright side i do have friends there so I just hang out with them until it's time to go home. I got home extremly late today and that's why I'm writing my blog right now. Sitting at the computer desk, completely tired. The only thing keeping me from collapsing are the cups of hot cocoa and pop i had today. SUGAR!!! It's wearing off though. The gathering was pretty much the same as always. Not much a difference. We eat, me and my friends play, I go home. It's routine. I'm cutting today's blog a little short because of my exhaustion, I'll try to write more tomorrow. GOOD NIGHT!!! :)

No Snow...

All the snow is...gone. HOW?!?! There was soooo much yesterday!!! I'm guessing it's the rain. It turned everything to slush. No more beautiful snow, just muddy slush. Boo. :( It's probably going to snow again soon. I hope it will. Thanks to the sudden change in weather, I wasn't able to go outside and play in the snow! I just stayed home, all cooped up. I need fresh air too! There wasn't much I could do at home. I got extremly bored of doing homework after a while. Honestly, everything became really boring after a while. I did catch up on all my lost hours of sleep however. I gues there is a happy ending to my at home story. I'm really tired now so I'm heading off to bed. Good night. :)

So Much Snow!

There's so much snow outside! In just one night! Absolutley amazing!!! Thanks to the snow, my dentist appointment was cancelled even though the snow stopped before the actually time of the appointment. When my mom cancelled it, the snow was still drifting down. It was so pretty. :) All you could really see was white. Lalalalala... The snow was fun, really fun. I finally got back at my friend Charmaine who kept throwing snow balls at me throughout the week. There was finally enough snow for me to make a proper snowball. i threw them like this was my last day on earth. Ok, maybe a little too dramatic. We also made a faild snowman. We put the head on the middle part first so it was too heavy to lift onto the bottom  part. We ended up making two snowmen. One with a HUGE head, one with a flat, tiny head. :) I got home really late today because of that. I just made myself a big cup of hot cocoa and curled up on the couch. I'll do the homework that I have tomorrow. :) I hope I can finish it all in time.

Possible Snow Closure

I can't believe that there is a chance for a snow closure tomorrow!  It's only the end of November and there's going to be that much snow? Unbelievable! The weather this year is really... strange, weird, abnormal. I would describe it like that. I don't think it's going to happen though. I'm looking out the window right now and no snow is falling. I heard that 5-10 cm were supposed to fall over night! It's a lot for just over one night! At the moment, I think that there's a 90% chance that school would stay open. It would be nice for a snow closure though. I can go outside and hang out with my friends. I can also catch up on all of my homework! It'll give me some time to work on the brain project too. The track mete is tomorrow though. If there is a snow closure, it will be cancelled and I bought all that red stuff for no reason! Will it get moved to another date? Hopefully it will, I'm actually looking foward to gym for once. :)

First Term 2 Blog!

First term 2 blog. Yay! It is today right? Ok. Thanks a lot for answering all my questions. I know there was a lot. I didn't get to the Lesson 7 extensions or family reflections yet. I ran out of time... Just to make sure, I e-mail you my website right? Do I e-mail the go program part of it or the specific parts? Just making sure. I'm going to just e-mail you the go program section of the website. All the other parts are subpages of that page. Still kind of confusing. Nothing else really happened today. It got colder, that's for sure. It's weird. Last year it snowed for 3 days and this year it snowed in November. NOVEMBER!!! That's so early for snow to fall! TOO EARLY!!! I'm freaking out at home for the past day. I think it's the cold, it doesn't do me much good. Just makes me shiver and cranky. There's only two ways that the snow can make me happy. First, it stops. Second, it makes the hills of my elemantary school snowy enough to sled on. YAY! 2 years ago i had a lot of fun on those slopes. I told you about that already right? I'm pretty sure I did. Anyways, I'm extremely tired now and really want to go to bed. Stay warm! :)

Totally Confused

I'm so confused on many things today. Mostly on the Go Workbook and the brain project. Also confused on other stuff but they're not that big. I'll figure those out by tomorrow. Few questions today, I think you saw this one coming when you read the title. First thing, I still don't know what to do for the family reflections part of the Go Program so I didn't do any of them. I also don't know how we're supposed to post the Get Go either. I just wrote that stuff in my agenda or sometimes in a notebook. Second, are we supposed to finish the worksheet we got today for next time? I also don't really know how I'm going to narrow the topic down. I'm doing phobias and I can find lots of info for that but when I narrow it down to a specific type of phobia like apiphobia (a fear of bees which I have) I can't find anything. That's pretty much all the questions. Not many if you think about it. I guess it really depends on how you look at it. Bla... I'm so tired right now. Oh well... BEDTIME! :)

Normal Sunday

Today was normal. Just like yesterday. The only different thing about today I think is that I had to go outside to dig up some soil for my science project. The soft-ish snow from yesterday has already turned into large chunks of ice! My mom also went outside to help me loosen up the soil and to clear up the paths. I almost slipped on the ice on the trip back inside. I don't know why but it's kinda depressing this kind of weather. Like the snow is great and all, but after it stops snowing and it starts turning into slush and ice it's depressing. I guess it's the gray skies. Yeah, I'm more of a summer person. The winter time just makes me sleepy and depressed most of the time. I am looking forward to sliding down the slopes on my sled when it snows some more. I remember 2 years ago I flipped over when sliding down a slope. Good times. It didn't hurt or anything and my mom got a picture of me upside down so it's pretty funny. :)

Regular Saturday

Today's pretty much the same as usual. Nothing too different, just a regular, relaxing Saturday. I have to do a lot of homework tomorrow and a lot of other stuff. Wow...tomorrow's going to be really busy. I just noticed something. I always miss writing a blog on Fridays. I only missed it twice so far so I can't be sure. A few things different about today. SNOW!!! It's snowing!!! The snow came really early this year though. I remember last year it only snowed for 3 days in the area I live in. It was so extremely...sad. My mom was really happy that there was now snow last year. Easier to drive in. She's thinking about taking the bus to work instead of driving now. Only when the snow is really deep or if the road is really slippery. Preparations for snow = new snow boots! My mom agreed to buy me a pair of snow boots when she saw the amount of snow in just one night. She also might my me a pair of rubber boots for when the snow turns into slush. If you're wondering what slush is, it is a combo of rain and snow. Not pretty, fun, or helpful in any way I can think of. I'm ending this blog with a question today. Where is the family reflections instructions posted? Or where can I find them? Some people said you posted it on your site but I counldn't find it. Thanks for the help and sorry if the questions are a little confusing. I wasn't sure how else to put it. :)

Testing

All the tests finally over with! All except the French tests. My French teacher was away again so we ended up performing the skit we wrote last time. We were supposed to remember them but we were also supposed to get time today to practice. Me and my partner just brought our skit with us. No marks were taken off for mot remembering. Yay! :) Now we have to do this dialogue story. Kinda confused for that. My science test didn't go that well today. I think I got the first part of the matching questions all wrong. I messed up the organs. Oops. On the brighter side, there was no violin test today! There's one next Monday! Yay! I have the weekend to practice and hopefully pass the test. A few questions today for you today. Do we post the Cars worksheet onto our website and I'm doing the brain project on phobias right? Do I have to post that somewhere? Sorry if the questions are kind of confusing. I couldn't think of another way to put it. Thanks! :)

Busy Busy Day

Today was quite busy once I got home. It was quite busy in the morning too now that I think about it. I forgot that today's class started at 10:17 and thought that it started at 10:30 which put me at a extremely late start. I also kept forgetting to do things. I had to quickly print out the field trip form for the Mini We Day event before my friend came to pick me up. I then forgot to bring my lunch so I had to run back upstairs to get it. I arrived to school on time surprisingly. After school I didn't have a lot of homwork, I just have 4 tests tomorrow and had to study. First test, French. There's actually two of them but I like to think of them as one. Second test, book test. Not that hard, I just had to finish reading the whole book today. Third test, Strings. I'm still not that well prepared but I did not have a lot of time. Last test, SCIENCE!!! I studied for that one the most but I think I'm least prepared for that one though. I'm not sure what I'm going to do tomorrow. By the way, I never got the Cars document. Did you send it by email or did you post it on your website?

Typing So Many Things

I had to do a lot of typing today. Too much for me. First i had to finish typing the story for my socials project. Me and my partners are working on it tomorrow so I had to finish typing it so we can put it on tomorrow as well. I think we only have tomorrow left to work on it. It's due this Friday and we all can't work after school. We have to start working faster. Much faster. The next thing is the vocab for a english group project. I thought we could just copy all the work in class but someone in my group is printing it all out instead. Less work in total I guess. The blog isn't that much typing so i'm ok with it. One little question, I can post the worksheet onto my website in the Applied skills section. I'll have to create that section later. Thanks. :)

First Day of the New Rotation

The new rotation is confusing me. Well, not really confusing, more annoying me. Now after math, I have a break so I don't have anything to do during the break. If I go somewhere else I'll be late for my next class which is science and is right above my math class. So I have around 15 minutes to just talk. :) After lunch is the problem. I barely have time to change into my gym clothes. I can't just change during luch and wear it to social class because my socials teacher doesn't really like people wearing it. Today I managed though. I changed extremely fast. I barely had enough time to organize my stuff before the bell rang. It rang when I just finished changing. I change in the washrooms because there are less people there so there isn't a line up. :) I rushed through the halls to get to gym on time. I did. Yay! I'm not sure about next time though. Hopefully I won't be late. :)

Project Time

Worked on the map project for socials today. My partners came over to my place to work on it. They also came over on last Friday but we didn't get enough done. The project's due on Friday so we really have to get some work done...fast. One of my partners didn't make it today. Her mom had a church thing so she couldn't come. Me and my other partner got a lot done though. We finished the map and a few headings. I also started typing the story but I only finished the prologue and 3 chapters. The story's incredibaly long. I think it's really good though. :) Me and one of my partners wrote it together, we might turn it into a book. If we are, we'll add more chapters and maybe an epilogue. Ha ha. She said that Fed-ex can turn them into books. I don't know, I never done that before. That's pretty much all that happened today. I don't know how I'm going to get used to the new rotation. AHH!! It's like the first day of high school all over again. Is it ok if I bring my violin to Applied Skills on Day 1s? I don't know if I have enough time to go to my locker and put it away.

Hotpot Party!

Went to a  hotpot party today. :) It was fun! two of my friends went. They don't go to Churchill though but one of them is thinking of going next year. :) The hotpot was really tasty. It didn't cook fast enough so we had to use the stove. That was only for me and my friends. We ate later than the other people so while they at least ate a little, we ate NOTHING! After using the stove, we were full. I mostly just ate fish and this vegetable. I'm not entirely sure what it's called. After the food, we just kinda fooled around a bit. Somehow the time passed so quickly! I got there at 5PM, played a bit, ate, then left at 10:40PM!!! Wow. I completely lost track of time! It was incredibaly fun though. I think they have another one next week but it's not as big as today's. :) Sorry I forgot to write yesturday's blog, I was really busy and I forgot. One quick question, do I write an extra blog to make up for the one I missed? If I do, I'll just write it tomorrow. I don't have enough time today.

Friend's B-Day Party!

The party was so much fun! One of my other friend's dad drove us so I won't have to take the bus and risk getting lost. I would've had my mom drive me but she's working today instead of tomorrow. :( At first i thought that meant I couldn't go but then it all got figured out. Me and my friend were the first ones to arrive. We ate most of the nachos because of that. Soon after, other people came. After the nachos and the tour of her house, we played Truth or Dare. One of the guests weren't here yet so I used one of the gifts, which was a huge stuffed dog, as her. I named the dog Beary Babooshka. We changed the name to Bulliene for the game. We changed it back after. After everyone got here, we played, that's right, Musical Cushions! Exactly like musical chairs but with cushions. My gift, the little stuffed duck, was now called DJ Blob Duckinson. The DJ part's just for the game. Then there's also Mix Master Beary Babooshka and Boo Doginston. I made the names. :) We also watched a movie, ate the cake while picking some of the melted wax off of it, and ate pizza. It was soooooooo fun. I didn't get to watch the entire movie because I left early. I heard that the party ended around  6pm but I left at 5pm. It was still a lot of fun though! If only I was allowed to stay there for a bit longer. :)

Body Worlds

The Body Worlds exhibit was a lot less gross and disturbing as I thought it would be. I thought that I would be throwing up by the end of the exhibit but it wasn't too bad. In the beginning they didn't show too many full bodies that were really "artistic". The freaking thing is that the ones with heads and eyes seem to be staring at you. I had a staring contest with one of them. I lost. After me and my friend finished going through the exhibit, we went to play. Wee! That part was fun. When it was lunch time, I was really surprised that i didn't lose my appetite. I actually bought a poutine to eat. Part of the reason was I wanted to sit in the restaurant. Tee-hee. I didn't get to finish my croissant sandwiches from Safeway though. I buy a lot of stuff from Safeway. My friend's dad drove us back to school so we got to stay a bit longer at Science World. I got a bruise though. I know exactly where I got it and I remember the pain. Oh the PAIN!!! The edge of a sign hit my elbow. For a while it kinda felt like it was being stabbed by something. Now there's just a ugly bruise there. Purple-ish now. I'm not sure where I found this but 5% of people wonder how they got the bruise, 5% don't know they have a bruise, and 90% of people poke the bruise to see how much it hurts. I'm not sure if it's true or not but it is funny! I'm definitely one the the 90%. I always poke the bruise after I find it. :)

Gift Shopping

Yay, yay, yay, yay. My friend said that her dad can drive us on Thursday so I can go to my other friend's birthday party now. Yay! So today I went last minute gift shopping at...Safeway. At first I just thought I'll buy her a gift card but that seems so boring. I bought her a cute little stuffed duck plushie as well. Luckily, the plushie was only $6 so I was able to buy it. If it was over $8 I would've gotten a package of chocolate covered pretzel sticks instead. The rest was pretty simple. Buy a card, buy a gift bag, buy some of the paper. I have two of the three things already at home. AHH! I'm soooo excited. I have to leave the party early though, the party ends at 5PM but it gets really dark at that time now. So I'm leaving at 4:30PM instead. Still good. Now all I have to do is wait. :)

Birthday Party

Not my birthday party, my friend's. I just thought that I need to make that clear first. The sad thing is, I can't go. There's actually a extremely good reason so I can't argue. First reason, I have no idea where she lives. Ok, I know that she lives in Killarney (I think I spelt that wrong) but I don't live close to there. She lives on the east side of Vancouver, I'm on the west side. Second reason, if my mom didn't have work that day, Thusday a work day, she could drive me so location wouldn't even matter. Third and what I think is the last reason, I don't take the bus often so I get lost really easily unless I took the bus there once and sort of memorized what the route looks like. I had to tell her that I couldn't come and I was so sad that I can't go. Boo. If only the party was on a Sunday.

Time Change

So tired right now. I don't know why but everytime the time changes, my sleep schedule gets messed up. I don't know why, the amount of hours is still the same but I just feel so much more tired. Usually I go to bed at 10PM which is now 9 PM but don't feel tired at 9 for some reason. Maybe it's just the way my brain works. I'm sooooo tired now. It's around 11PM before the time change when I'm writing this. My brain isn't wroking that well right now. I can barely keep my eyes open right now. Yawn. I really need to get some sleep. I'll write more on my blog tomorrow. Maybe. One question, do we fill in the go extension then paste it onto our website? Thanks and good night. :)

Chinese Homework

AHHHH! I got a lot of Chinese homework today. Boo. A lot of time I run out of time to finish the homework and end up doing it Friday night or Saturday morning. I don't think I can do that this time. I finished a lot of it class but then my teacher gives us even more homework in the last few minutes of class. That was the big assignment. We had to rewrite a story in one of the character's point of view. It's not as hard as it sounds, the story isn't so complicated. It just takes a long time to figure out how to actually write it! As you know, I don't know how to write that much Chinese. I probably have to ask my mom for a lot of help. I first have to finish a lot of my school homework though.

Watermania!

Watermania was so much fun! Woo! I don't even mind that I missed two classes! That reminds me, I still haven't got the homework for those classes yet. I'm think about that on Sunday night. Back to Watermania. I barely ate any of my lunch because we had to leave like 10 minutes after 2nd period. I had gym that period so I had around 7 minutes because I take a long time to shower. I finished my lunch on the way back. :) I don't know how to describe all the things I did. Really, I don't remember a lot of it. I do remember going so many times down the slide that the person up there kept giving me and my friends the " you're here again" look. Ahhh...good times. I can't exactly swim but I'm fine as long as I'm not in the very deep end. It the water's a little higher than me, that's fine. I don't have very good experiences with water. But we're friends again. I'm not sure how, water doesn't talk that much. My feet were so cold on the way back because I was just wearing my flip-flops. I ran out of time to change my shoes. :)

Violin Strings From the Past

Strings class was kind of disturbing. I defiantly lost my appetite after watching that video. Why? The video was on how people made violin strings in the past. They didn't have all the fancy stuff we have today so they used sheep intestines. Yes, from an actual sheep. The video was extremely detailed in my mind. The show was actually called the world's worst jobs! You can actually see the person cut open the skin and watch all the guts basically fall out of the sheep! It was sooo disturbing! Then later they show how to clean the intestines and they basically squeeze out everything! I didn't want to watch because it's so disgusting and yet I want to because it's so interesting! Now I can't get the image out of my head. AHHH!

A Spongebob Dream

I had a really crazy dream last night. I'm not sure why, but it was Spongebob themed. Oooh, freaky. Okay, in the dream Spongebob went to the Krusty Krab to go to work as usual but then Patrick also comes and says something about the air being depressing. I think it was something like that. Then they went to the basement of the Krusty Krab, which does not exist. They then started to nail a wooden board across the room because it supposedly "makes the air happier". Mr, Krabs then got really mad at them because he can't open any of the lockers because Spongebob and Patrick nailed the board there. Then all of a sudden...I woke up. :) It was a really strange dream and it didn't really make any sense. I'm still kinda confused. I wonder why I got this dream. I guess I watch too much Spongebob. :)

Bubble Tea!

Sweet sweet bubble tea. It's so nice to drink one of you again. I missed your sweet flavours. Sorry for the strange beginning. The reason, I finally drank bubble tea again. The last time I drank one was during summer break! Such a long time ago. But, I just bought one today so I'm once again familiar with the sweet drink called bubble tea. I don't know why but almost every time I order bubble tea it's always strawberry flavour. Only once or twice has it been a different flavour. Weird... I don't really eat the actual strawberry fruit, I just like strawberry flavoured things! Kinda like me and oranges. I should really eat more fresh fruit. I just realized that.

Sick Again...

Cough cough. That's what I've been doing all day. Yes, I caught a cold. Not just any cold but my friend's. She had a really bad one so bad that she had to stay home for a couple days! So sad that it was passed to me though. :( This year isn't too different from last year. I don't know why but every year at around the same peroid of time, I get a cold. It's usually not so bad just a average cold. A few coughs, sneezes and headaches...Still not as good as being completely germ free. Might as well just stay warm and cozy until spring. Yes, that is usually when my annual cold ends. Cough, cough. That's that my mom's going to hear from me for a while.

Trick-or-Treating

Really, I wasn't planning to go trick-or-treating this year but then a few of my friends asked me if I wanted to go with them and I ended up going. Woo. We're all from the same elementary school so we just met up there. It was pretty much your normal trick-or-treat routine except we had to avoid the people putting off fireworks quite a few times. It was actually kind of scary standing that close to the fireworks. It will haunt me...probably not! Around 8:20 I bumped into my best friend from Grade 7 that now goes to Prince of Wales. That was surprising, really surprising. We hung out a bit and then said good-bye. I think I'll visit her on Friday. She lives pretty close to my elementary school, maybe like 2 or 3 blocks away. When all the fun was over, we had to send one of my friends home because she lived farther away than us. On Park Dr I think. I got home at around 9:20, took a shower to get the glitter off my hair and face then started writing this blog! My nails are still painted black, I'll remove the polish on Friday. If I have time.:)

Halloween Preparations :D

Bought some stuff for tomorrow's trick-or-treat. I didn't but a new costume so I just some things to go along with the old costume. The costume is like a witch dress, at least that's what it looks like. So after my Chinese class I headed over to...Superstore! They actually had quite a few stuff left over! I thought they would be all out! I bought a purple witch hat and some glow in the dark gel! Ooohh. Fancy. :) I'm thinking of putting it on my face and highlight my hair. I also bought some black nail polish. I hope that the gel come off really easily otherwise I'm coming to school with glowing hair! Maybe even a glowing face! Scary...

Korean Lunchbox

Bought a Korean lunchbox for lunch today. Me and two of my friends actually planned that we buy lunch today so we brought money. :) I had to rush out of Applied Skills so I could get to the old dogpound earlier so it won't run out. I remember once I went to get a samosa and right after I finished waiting for so long and got to the beginning of the line, they ran out of samosas. I was sooooo mad!!! I got there pretty early but there were already a line up. Those people are fast... I got a lunchbox though. Yay! But the people forgot to give me change so I had to wait quite a while just to get my change. I don't ever leave a penny behind unless I feel like it. My policy. I got a chicken lunchbox, one of my friends got the beef lunchbox, and my other friend got the lunch bowl. We all sampled each other's food. It was actually really good! I'm going to buy it again next Friday, except I'm getting the bowl instead. Good plan, goosd paln. :)

Busing Home

AHH! I'm so mad at the people driving the bus. Okay, not sure why I'm mad but I am. Bla. Okay, so me and my friend were going to the library so we had to take the bus otherwise we would run out of time to actually do anything there. We were waiting and waiting. I was surprised that the juice box (it's name's Hobo) my friend left there about a month ago was STILL there! That is one strong box. It's really muddy now...and flat. Okay, so we were standing there waiting and the bus comes. It only dropped people off though, didn't pick anyone up. At least this one had an excuse. It was really full. Last time me and my friend took the bus, the first one that came didn't pick us up and was barely even full! I hate it when this happens now. I just hate it. We ended up walking to Park St. and finally another bus came. We got to the library at around 4:30 PM. This is where I'm writing this blog right now. I probably have to leave in 10 minutes. If only I could complain about this right to the people who drives those buses. Or anyone, I don't really care. :)

Science Fair Progress!

I switched to bean plants. The tomato plants weren't really growing that well and three of them already died! I asked my science teacher if I could do bean plants instead of tomato plants and luckily she said yes. My current bean plants planted just for fun are already over 10 cm tall! I'm really surprised how quickly they grew! One night it grew around 3cm. That is kinda freaky. Yet so fascinating!! Apparently tomato plants are really hard to keep alive. They don't like to be cold yet they don't like to be dry either. It's hard to do both. I can't put the plants on the heater where they'll be warm but dry. I just switched to bean plants. Sooooo much easier to take care of. They can take care of themselves pretty well. Other than that, I'm still kinda confused on what we're supposed to do for the go program. Do we just copy and paste the lesson extension onto our website after we fill in the blanks? One more question, do we just ask our friends, family, and a teacher for the get go part? Thanks! :)

Castle Finally Complete!

I just finished drawing and outlining the good copy of my magic castle. There's nothing too magical about my castle though. It's just a normal castle that penguins live in. I was stressing about that castle for a while. I wasn't sure how to draw it and any ideas that came into my head were all too hard to draw. I just stuck with my second favourite thing, penguins. It was kinda hard tracing my draft cause I couldn't really see any of the lines I drew. I still somehow completed it though. I couldn't trace the penguins that well. They're really small so they're even harder to see. I'm not really sure if I have to colour the castle or not. I didn't. Hopefully I don't have to. The penguins will be really hard to colour.

Orhtodontists and Braces...

AHH!!! My teeth hurt so much now! I had my orthodontics appointment this morning. I wanted it to be after school but nooo. The receptionist says that they can't do the thing after 3:00 PM. I wanted the appointment to be on either a Pro-D day or a collaborative planning day but noooo. The orthodontist isn't there on Wednesdays or Fridays. So I ended up having the appointment today. The whole appointment only took around 30 minutes so I only miss one period. The actual appointment doesn't really hurt but after, the pain!! During the day it didn't hurt as much as it does now. During the day it only felt sore and some particular teeth hurt. Now, those particular teeth hurt so much it's almost unbearable and the other teeth are even more sore. I really look forward to the day my braces come off.

They're Alive!!

My tomato plants are alive!!! I was so afraid that they wouldn't grow enough to use for my science fair project. Now look at them! They're growing!! I think two of them died though. One of them didn't even sprout yet and the other one's not looking that healthy. I think I drowned it or something. I also planted some bean plants just for fun. All of them grew! I'm starting to think that a bean plant would have been a better choice. On the packaging it said that it'll take longer than the tomato seeds to grow. False info! Who knew that they would actually grow! Maybe it's because my apartment's manager turned up the temperature. Kinda works like a greenhouse right? Smaller though. Now I have to figure out how to get soil from outside during the wintertime. So troubling.

Chinese Class

Every single Saturday I have to go to Chinese class. I been over for a little over a year now. Last year my mom finally decided that I needed to learn more Chinese. That's pretty true. I can't even read it or write it. If you spoke to me in Chinese and didn't talk in in simple Chinese, I probably won't even understand! I got a lot better now. I can read really simple children's books now! I'm actually really proud. Compared to my friends, my Chinese is really bad. Hopefully by next year I'll be able to read a simple newspaper article in Chinese! The dream lives on! :) Other than that, I really don't have anything else to say. I write more tomorrow. Maybe...

Pro-D Day

This Pro-D day was so boring to me. I had not much to do. I was supposed to hang out with one of my friends today but she had a doctor's appointment because her cold got worse again. I slept for over 12 hours. I'm quite happy that I caught up on my sleep. :) After I woke up it was almost time for lunch already so I just ate it a bit earlier. The rest of the day I just did homework and read. I don't live an extremely interesting life. The highlight of my day was going to art class and chatting with my friends there. We had some weird conversations. Not much work was done. Next time I have to finish my landscape drawing. I might take art class but I still am no good at drawing. :)

Computer Problems!

I think my computer caught a cold. I tried to write my blog this afternoon and a little box popped up from my virus detector program asking me whether to give Mozila Firefox access to Internet connection or not. I clicked on the allow always button but the program blocked it! I was so confused! I was sure that I clicked the allow always button! I opened the program to allow Firefox Internet connection again but it still didn't work. After my mom got home she was trying to make it work for pretty much the whole night! Even after all that, it still didn't work. I'm not sure exactly what my mom did but I'm pretty sure she reinstalled it. Now I'm writing my blog using my extremely old version of Internet Explorer. It's much slower than Firefox and Google Chrome. you should probably know that I used Google Chrome before Firefox but it all of a sudden stopped working just like Firefox. It's really confusing all this. I'm just glad that I was able to write my blog. :)

Granville Island!!

The writer's festival was today! Wooo! It was amazingly fun. The bus ride was kind of boring plus I was feeling dizzy going there but everything else was fine! When we first got there, me and my friends were on the look out for shops. Any kind. I have a problem with shopping without using my own money. I get a little crazy. Just a smidge. :) The only store that we found was an art shop. We didn't really do that much there. I bought a eraser that you can mold and a delete button eraser! We had to run back to the place we were supposed to meet because we thought we were late. We weren't but we did come later than most of the people. The first show we saw was featuring Kenneth Oppel and Richard Newsome. I don't really know how to describe the whole show because I'm not good at remembering everything. They basically just talked about their new books and answered a few questions. After the show, they were signing autographs. People had a chance to buy the books but sadly I didn't have enough money to buy them. So sad. :( I thought that I wasn't going to be able to get their autographs because I didn't have any paper on me either! Luckily one of my friends brought her notebook with her so we all ripped a page out had had them sign that. When I do get their books, I'll just tape in the autograph. :)

 After we got our autographs, we went to look for food. Then someone got us lost when looking for the food market. I won't name who...yet. Finally we found it after asking two people for instructions. We ended up eating at a gelato shop on the way. I ate my sandwich from Safeway and everyone else bought something to eat. I also got a brownie but didn't finish it and had to give it to the person who got us lost. Three of us got gelato ice cream after as a dessert. I got cookies n cream. It was such a hard choice! They had my favourite flavors! I was torn apart deciding! We didn't have much time to wander after that so we just headed back. The next show was featuring Sharon McKay. She told us about her experiences while she was in Afghanistan and a few other things. She also had a little question time like the last show. I was able to buy her book Thunder in Kandahar though. I had just enough money! :) Me and my friends were late getting on the school bus because we were getting our books signed and had to wait until Sharon McKay was done talking to the people in front of us. We had to run back otherwise we would be stranded on Granville Island. This is definitely a trip that I'm going to remember.

Assembly!

There was an assembly today on homophobia. The guest speaker spoke about his experiences in high school because he's gay himself! He told us about how after people found out, they didn't even treat him the same way. His friends didn't hang out with him any more and pretty much everything in his life kind of changed. Even one of his aunts didn't want anything to do with his family! That's not the worst part, he was also bullied and beat-up because of who he was! It was kind of shocking actually. This could be happening to a lot of other kids too. I saw a poster that showed the names of the kids who committed suicide because of homophobia recently (sort of, I didn't get a close look at the poster). It's really sad what happens to them. Well purple day's tomorrow but sadly I can't find my only purple shirt! I guess I'll just have to wear a shirt that has purple on it.

Mapping

Bla. That's how I feel right now. I finally finished that map, the demon map that was assigned to make my life miserable. Okay, a little exaggerated but mostly true. I worked sooo hard on that one map and another one is going to be assigned soon. I think it's still a world map but a different style. I'm so tired now. I didn't think that mapping would be that much work. I thought that it would only take around a hour to finish fine lining and colouring but noooo. It took me around 2 HOURS to finish! I shouldn't have put it off until now. I wanted to work on my magical castle for penguins today but ended up running out of time. :( I hope the next mapping assignment is much easier than this one. :)

Homework Boards

I finally looked at the other homework boards. I not sure why I didn't go onto them earlier. Their...FANTASTIC!!! It's so useful! If I had a field trip or I had an appointment with my orthodontist, I can find out what my homework was and kind of catch up on what everyone else was doing. Someone should post all the notes taken during that class as well. It would make my life so much easier. Other people would also be so relieved. If only all my other classes were like that too. Then I wouldn't have to ask my friend to type out all those notes for me so I can copy them down. Now I have to find someone in my math class that doesn't have gym on a day 2. I'm looking forward to more field trips and yet I'm hoping there's no more at the same time! I need to make up my mind.

Science Fair Experiment Preparation

Bought the stuff I need for my science fair project today. It is a really bad time to do a project on plant growth during winter but I didn't have ANY other ideas. I really hope I have enough time to actually complete the experiment and repeat it another 2 times! I don't think that the plant will have enough time to grow big enough. I thought I only had to do the experiment once but noooo. I'm so stressed now. I think I only have around 2 weeks for the plant to grow. I wonder if I could change a few parts of my proposal. Maybe the bean seeds would grow faster than the tomato seeds because it's bigger! Wow. Now I get more science fair ideas. It's a little late brain! Maybe I'll use it for Grade 10. Next year I'm planning on doing how fast different types of milk expire. Whole milk or skim?

Orthodontics Appiontment Soon...

AHHH! I have to go get my braces checked up soon. It's not really a small check-up like usual, it's a big one. Last time I remember them saying something about adjusting the wires. I don't know why but everything they say sounds so painful. Maybe it's because of the complicated terms they use. The bad thing is that I have to miss period 1 on that day. I know I should be overjoyed but I'm still not really used to missing classes because of field trips and appointments. It's so much more confusing than in elementary school! I have strings that period so I don't think I'll miss too much. I already told my friend to pick up an extra copy and tell me what we learned. I'm kinda worried about my teeth now. They always hurt so much after a big adjustment. I guess I'll live on soup for a while. 

Locker Decorating!!!

My friend's birthday is coming up on Sunday so me and some of my other friends are going to decorate her locker! This is my absolute first time doing anything like this. Well, I have made a lot of cards for student teachers that were leaving. I never did it alone, I always had one of my BFFs help me. She's really artistic and I just help. We did a huge banner our school's Journey book. Before it was just going to be me and one of my friends working on the decorations but then a lot of other people also wanted to help. I tried to have fewer people help so people won't get bored. We were supposed to get it put up today but we didn't get signatures or finish drawing everything. It's postponed till tomorrow. We have to put it up after school so our friend won't see it until Monday. It's so sad that my birthday's in the summer.

Science Fair Proposal

My science fair proposal was...APPROVED!!!! I was so shocked! I thought that for sure that it wouldn't be approved. One reason, I didn't really think about the project that much and didn't have too much time left to do the proposal. I thought that the proposal was due on the 15th. Turns out it was due on the 5th! I had to quickly think of a project and write a proposal. I wasn't the only one apparently. I still have a lot to fix on the final report though. I also have to get a lot of pots for the plants. I have no idea how I'm going to get to do the project 3 times in two months! Maybe I could record the growth of the plant for two weeks. AHH!! I don't know what to do!!! I probably have to do a lot of compromising.

I Need More Sleep!

AHH! I'm so tired ever since school started. I'm not used to waking up so early. I know it's been a month but I'm slow at getting used to less sleep everyday. I remember in the summer I could sleep whenever I wanted. No limits, the freedom of peaceful slumber. Now I still have that right but then I wouldn't graduate high school on time. Then I would have no chance at being a billionaire. I miss sleeping at 10:00PM, waking up at 10:30AM than taking a nap at 1:30PM. I slept more than half a day before! I tried going to sleep earlier but then I don't have time to finish everything before I go to bed! If I wake up later I'll be late for school! I'm barely making it now! I'm so happy that tomorrow's a collaborative planning day. More sleep for me! :)

Ear Piercings

I'm thinking of getting my ears pierced during the Winter Break. One of my friend's is also thinking if getting her ears pierced. I'm still not sure if I should go through with it because one of my friend's who already got their ears pierced that that it hurt more than a needle! I can't even think of the pain! My mom said that if I'm going through with it, I should get pure gold studs to start with. Apparently it won't infect your ear unlike other metals. I think the best time for it's during Winter Break because my ears would be half numb already so maybe it will numb the pain. I also won't have to go to school with an aching ear. Pain makes me very gloomy. I also heard that we're getting shots again next year. I hope we don't have to get it 3 times like two years ago. Honestly, I'm not looking forward to immunization shots.

New Swimsuit

Had to buy a new swimsuit today for my Watermania trip on Nov.5th. The one I have right now is getting a little samll and the colour's coming off. The quality isn't that good. I looked quite hard for a good swimsuit today. I didn't really want a one piece swimsuit because if you need to go to the washroom you have to take the whole thing off and then put it back on again. It's way too much work for me. I'd much rather just have a two-piece.  I tried to find one that covers the stomach but couldn'y find one. I guess that they don't sell that many types of swimsuits after summer's over. I found a few but most of them either didn't fit that well or weren't that good. I finally found a pretty good one. It was green with pink Hawaii style flowers. :) I hope that I'm going to Hawaii soon. I have a great swimsuit for the occassion.

Church Party

I went to a church party today. At first I didn't really want to go because I didn't know anyone there. It was right after my Chinese class so I didn't have much time to do anything else. I also had to go to Safeway to buy some maple syrup, jam and roasted chicken. The roasted chicken was for the party in case I didn't like the food that they served there. I only had 10 minutes to rest and 8 of them were eating some of the chicken and preparing a little sauce. The first part was really just eating and talking. I made two new friends and we were just hanging out while the adults were talking. After we were supposed to listen to this long church speech but I don't understand much Chinese so I didn't understand anything. We kinda sneaked into the washroom and talked there for a while. I accidentally sprayed Airwick onto the ceiling (way too low that ceiling) and had to try to get it off by throwing paper towels at it. After we sneaked into the gym to play a bit. First it was basketball, then dodgeball, and lastly volleyball. After many glasses of water, we went to see if the game room was open. It wasn't, so sad. They had foosball, pool, and AIR HOCKEY!!!! We ended up just talking on the stairs. I left at around 9:00PM. It was a lot of fun. :)

Paper Model

Made a paper model of Big Ben for Applied Skills about two days ago! I know it's not really current anymore but I ran out of things to write about. I actually forgot to make it so many times but I had so much luck cause we went to the computer lab two times. When I finally remembered to make the model, I went onto the site but couldn't find one that I really liked and was one of the easier ones. The easiest to me was the school bus, not much to do on that one and not many fine details. I wanted to do a penguin but sadly I didn't find one. I ended up doing Big Ben instead. I already told my friend I wanted to do either a penguin or a clock. I think two other people made Big Ben as well. Mine had to travel to school in an over sized pastry box that still smelled like chocolate though.

OMG

OMG!! My best friend from Grade 5 who went back to China came back to Vancouver!!! I don't know if she's staying or if she's just visiting. I hope she's staying and going to Churchill. :) She called me last night right after I went to bed. I saw the voice mail this morning. I told one of my friends at school who is also my other friend's friend (sorry if this is kinda confusing, I try not to use names) and her reaction attracted a lot of peoples attention. She just started shouting "WHAT?!?! WHAT?!?! YOU SERIOUS?!?!?" It was sooo loud! It kinda deafened me a bit. I tried to call her back but in the morning she was still sleeping and in the afternoon she wasn't home! I'm kinda glad that there's no school tomorrow, I might be able to meet up with her somewhere. :) Today was quite surprising! Never could have predicted this.

The Fantasticks!

Watched the Fantasticks at the Vancouver Playhouse today. It was pretty good, I liked it. One problem is that it is so much like the movie! It's pretty much like watching the same thing twice! I still liked the actual play more though. The characters were funnier somehow in the play. Not sure how. I guess it's cause they don't actually have as many props so they substitute with other stuff. The people also spoke a bit more in the play. I'm not really sure how to write the essay though. Kinda stressing on that right now. I only finished like half of it and I probably have to start over cause the parts that I wrote so far aren't that good. Two more plays to go in this year!

P.E. Written Test!

Had to take a written test in P.E. today. I didn't even know that we even had written tests in P.E.! I thought that the only tests that there is are the fitness tests! I wasn't really used to getting hand-outs for P.E. so I often forgot to take out papers in my P.E. bag. That's exactly what happened to me for the field hockey hand-out. I left it in the bag for so long and finally remembered to take it out 2 days before the test! Lucky for me the test was postponed to today because my teacher was away for a day so we weren't able to do the 6 laps around the oval. Yeah, it's kinda complicated. I wasn't really prepared for the test. I didn't read over the hand-out a lot and I only remembered the basics like the different passes and dribbles. I think I got at least a C+ on the test. I still remembered most of the answers, I just don't know if they're right! I guess I'll find out on Thursday.

Clubs Day!!

Yay! Today's Clubs Day! It was fun. Joined two clubs! I had to finish lunch so quickly, I think it was the cause of my all afternoon hiccups! The two clubs were Unicef and what I think is called Heart2Heart. I also wanted to join the drama club but I couldn't find the booth. One of my friends was helping run the Anime club booth so I went to visit her there a couple times. It was so loud down there in the cafeteria and outside. Only the areas where Clubs Day was held were crowded, everywhere else were pretty much empty. Wow. My friend also wants me to join the recycling club with her because before she joined with a lot of other friends. They all quit because they thought it was too much work. So my friend is so lonely. I'm probably going to join as long as I don't have any activities on Wednesday afternoon.

Hangman

Another great and simple game that I love, Hangman. The first time I played Hangman was in Grade 5! Now that I think of it, I'm surprised that I didn't play it earlier! Maybe it's because my Grade 5 teacher loves word games too much. Then again, he also loves 20 questions. Never loved that game though. I'm not sure why I love this game, kinda like Pac-man to me. This game can go anywhere though, as long as there is a pencil and paper. I remember last year during a Strings concert, I was playing Hangman with my friend who sits right beside me. I lost most of the games. I love the game, but I am terrible at it! Might as well practice. You know how people always say practice makes perfect? Then they say that there's no such thing as perfect. If that's the case, why practice if there's no such thing as perfect? I still added Hangman onto my Google site. It's a fun game, to me. :)

Pac-man

Pac-man. I don't know why but I love that game sooo much now! I'm really not sure how I began liking that game. I think it started in Grade 7, sometime during the middle. Before I wasn't such a big fan. It was just a old game to me before! Then Google did the Pac-man anniversary sign. I beginning to think that the sign was what made me love Pac-man so much. The sign was awesome! In some strange way, it spelled out Google and if you click it, you can play it! There was also two player mode too! Now it's more than just a game, it's a way of life! Wow that sounded dramatic. I'm such a big fan that I actually know the ghost's names! The red one's Blinky, the pink one is Pinky, the turquoise one is Inkey, and the orange one is Clyde. I also added Pac-man to my Google site!

6 Laps!!!

Had to run the 6 laps around the oval today! It was actually better than the Langara run because I know what the oval looks like and when the finishing point is so it was much easier to pace myself. I thought that we were having our field hockey written test today but turns out it was postponed till next week because we had a substitute last time and was unable to do the 6 laps. I'm actually pretty glad that the written test was postponed because I completely forgot to study for it! I was cramming last night. :) The 6 laps turned out to be easier than I expected! That was quite surprising. During the middle of the run around the 4th to 5th lap, I started to slow down by quite. That's when my two friends in the first group that ran started yelling that there was a bee chasing me. As you know, I have a HUGE fear of bees. I'm also quite easy to fool so I started running faster. A lot faster. Half a lap later I finally realized that I was tricked and I was exhausted by that time. I kept running and running. I was amazed that I didn't collapse yet! Near the end of the 6th lap, I was so tired that I didn't feel like running the rest of the way. Then my friends started yelling that there was a bee behind me again. I started running believing there was a enormous bee chasing me. I didn't run as fast as the first because I was so tired though. I have to thank my friends though. Thanks to them I just passed the running part with 15:32 as my time. My legs kinda hurt for the rest of the day. Ow.

Google Sites

Finally figured out how to use Google Sites today! I'm so proud! :) It took me quite a while. Actually, it took me half the class just to create the site! Mostly because it kept telling me to change the url web or something like that. I changed it over 10 times yet it kept telling me the same thing, the name you have entered is not available. I don't remember the exact thing but I believe it should be something similar to that. I finally ended up with http://sites.google.com/site/hiimconfused. If you add spaces to the last part you would get hi im confused. My website's name is actually Still Clueless. I named it after my blog's name! I also added a few games, just for fun. Well, only two of them but I am a huge fan of both. First one I added was everyone's favourite game Hangman! The second one was Pac-Man! Like I said, I love both of them! One question though, do I need to send you my Google sites website everytime? Thanks!

Confused

I'm kinda confused these few days. First question is, are we supposed to continue writing our blogs on blogger or were we supposed to switch to Google sites? If we are, do we copy all the blogs that we wrote before and put it on the site? I asked a my friends but they didn't really know either. That's all the questions I have so far. Not too many. :) Not much else really happened today. The only thing that was really significant to me today was that there is a unit test for math on October 5th. It's so sad that we get test not a quiz so early in the year. Ahh! I also have to tell my Strings teacher that I might miss one of his classes because of an orthodontist appointment. I asked my mom to see if they can get me a time on a Pro-D day. Apparently the next time I'm going it's going to take longer because they're re-wiring the whole thing. I'm not sure I what they said, it was really confusing all the terms they were using. All I remember was that they can't do all that after 4:00PM and it's going to take 40 minutes. I hope it all works out.

The Moon's Shrinking?!

I read this news article that said the moon was actually shrinking! I didn't find the article. My mom was reading the news but then she went outside to go exercise and left the CBC news page on. I just looked in the technology and science section. But too make it sound like I did more work, I sort of did find it. I know the scientist said that the moon shrinking won't effect us but it's still sad that in a few billion years the moon might disappear! Okay, the percentage of it's possible chance to disappear, to me, is 98%. It sounds so much more dramatic if you say that it might disappear. Although, the scientists did say that it would not disappear. So...it's not going to disappear. Yay! It's just going to be a bit smaller. Now the next problem is when is the Sun going to die. It is a star, just a big one. I hope it's not going to die anytime soon.

Yet Another Strange Dream

I had a really strange dream yesterday. I went to Richmond Centre and got a little hungry so naturally I went to the food court to get some food. I expected that there would be a line at KFC that day because the mall was packed! Surprisingly enough there was no one in the food court but me! I waited for someone to go to the counter and someone came. Or should I say something. A robot came out from behind the wall and took my order! I asked where all the people were and it simply replied "Humans weren't needed anymore in this food court." "As employees?" I asked. "Sure. If that's the answer you were expecting," it replied. There was something freaky about this food court now. Maybe I just haven't come here for too long. Soon I was sitting down about to eat then I was stopped by a chicken wing. It sort of just threw itself at me! I thought it was someone else that was in the food court but there still was only me in the food court. I soon realized that all of the chicken pieces were moving! The drumsticks were dancing, the wings were trying to fly. Then the chicken popcorn pieces started exploding! I soon woke up after and noticed that it was around the time that I usually wake up. I didn't bother going back to bed so I just turned off the alarm and got up. It's weird how I always dream about moving food.

Fitness Test

Had to take my fitness test on Thursday.  I didn't think that I would even be able to meet expectations for any of the activities! I still had to take the test either way though. The first station that I went to was the vertical jump. I thought this one was going to be an easier one. You know, no pain, not too much effort needed. I got an average score for that. Surprisingly, my partner got the exact same score as me! I don't really have much to say about the height measuring station except that I think I injured my partner's head with the triangle. Oops. The stretching station was one of the most painful. It was torture to me so as soon as it turned into searing pain, I stop stretching. The push-up and crunches station was ok, but I was only able to do 10 push-ups. The last station was the shuttle run. The first time, I wasn't sure when to begin running so I decided to do it again after I finally understood how it works. I took 0.4 seconds off my original time! I think I did better this time than I usually do. I was actually able to do a push-up! Now I just have to do well on running 6 laps on Wednesday.

New Jeans

Went to Aeropostale before I went to Chinese class today. I had to buy some new clothes now that the weather is getting colder and colder. It's so sad to see summer slowly drift away. I bought quite a few stuff, a new jacket, 3 shirts, and one new pair of jeans. The weird thing is that every time I entered or left a store, the alarm goes off. When I got to my Chinese class I was still wondering why the alarms keep going off. That has never happened before! After my class was over, I went to the Lansdowne centre to look for some black dress shoes. My Strings teacher we needed a pair for concerts. Sadly, none of them were really the "right" one. When I finally got home, I had to put away all the clothes. That was when I noticed that the tag that sets off the store alarm was still on the pair of jeans I bought! No wonder that all the alarms were always beeping. Now we have to go back to the store to have them take off the tag. Until then, I can't wear my new pair of jeans. Oh well...

New York!

Just found out today that the music classes are going to New York during spring break! By music classes I mean Strings, Choir, and Band. I never went to New York before but I want to go. I'm not sure if I can though. My mom told me that we might go to Phoenix during spring break. The trip also costs quite a bit, $1672 to be exact. Actually, I'm still thinking about if I want to go. Two of my really good friends might also go as well, one in Strings with me and one in Choir. My friend in Strings says that she probably can't go because she's already going back to China in winter break. She said her mom probably won't let her go on another trip. I don't really want to go if none of my good friends are there, especially since the trip is 5 days long! Even if my friend in choir goes, I'll still have to think about it because we have to choose our roommates and we might not be doing the same activities. So many difficult decisions! I know it's not that hard of a decision but because of my bad decision making skills, it is much harder.

Cellphones in French Class

I was so lucky during French class on Wednesday. Someone's phone started ringing during the lesson and was quite loud too. Once it started ringing, the room just went dead silent. I think everyone was wondering who's phone it was. A few seconds later, the teacher found out who it was. The owner of the phone wasn't really a great student either. He always talks to other people during class. The teacher send him outdoors to have a little "chat" with him. Everyone in the classroom was still dead silent. People probably wanted to hear what the teacher was saying to him. After a while, they came back inside. The tension in the room didn't go down at all. After the bell rang, I noticed my phone started beeping. I took it out and saw that it was running out of battery. I was so lucky that it didn't start beeping in class otherwise I would've got in so much trouble.

Treadmill!

Yesterday, my mom bought a treadmill. Finally! Ever since the summer of 2006 when I went to California for vacation and stayed at my uncle's home for 2 days. They had a treadmill, a big fancy one. Since that day I have wanted one. I'm not quite sure why. In general, I'm quite lazy so I'm not sure why I want an exercise equipment. Maybe it was all of the buttons. I do love pressing colourful buttons, not sure why but I just love it! I have asked my mom many times to buy one but it was always the same answer. It's too expensive. On the rare occasion that there is one on sale, we always arrive too late and the product has been sold out. I was so happy that I finally have a treadmill of my very own now! The sad thing is that it does take up quite a bit of space so I had to pack up my electric keyboard and put it back under my bed. Assembling the treadmill was also quite a hassle. My mom worked so hard to put it together. I helped when I could but there's not much I could really do. I just did my homework while my mom kept reading the instructions over and over again. At 11:00PM of September 21st, the treadmill was finally put together and functioning. Now I can try it out after the silicon is applied.

The Langara Run

Ran around Langara Golf Course today. So tiring! I started running with a few of my friends in the beginning but ran ahead after about one third of the lap. We were timed during the run and the time will be included in our P.E. mark so I had to really push myself and try to run the entire lap. I got tired really quickly though so I just had to take a break. Before the run started, I thought that we would be running round Langara college or on a concrete track! Instead we were running on a dirt path. I saw quite a few people that weren't from the school that was also running, jogging, or walking. Most of them were older citizens. After I regained some of my strength, I started to run again. Soon after I started running again, I saw one of my friends up ahead. All I could really do was wave because I was too exhausted to even say hi! Finally, the run ended and I got a time of 19:22. I was quite happy with what I got especially because I ran my legs felt like they were going to fall off! On the way back to Churchill, two of my friends said that the run was torture. I agree completely.

My Search For My Independent Reading Book

For English class we were supposed to find a book from the Independent Reading list. I chose The Time Traveler's Wife as my book. All my friends keep telling me, "Read it! Read it! It's sooo good!!" I finally got to reading it and I couldn't find the book in any libraries in time for my next English class! I looked at the libraries website to put the book on hold but I didn't expect for there to be 2 copies and 24 people also waiting for the book! It would take forever for me to get the book! I looked at a lot of other websites with all similar results. I thought about just waiting for the school's library to open but I think that quite slow at reading so I wanted to get a head start. The only choice I had left was to buy the book. Really I didn't mind buying the book. If it's as good as everyone says it is, then I'll probably read it more than once. I looked at Chapter's website online and didn't find any copies. My mom still took me to the nearest Chapters book store to look for it. Surprisingly, they had so many in stock! Proves to you that you can't always trust the internet.

First Time Eating From a Street Food Vendor

After I went to the Vancouver Playhouse to take a look, I didn't have time to go home and eat so my mom finally let me eat a hotdog from someone selling them on the way back to the skytrain station. Ever since I was small, my mom was quite a health fanatic. She didn't let me eat anything unhealthy. Sometimes she let me eat at McDonalds or another fast food restaurant but when I eat out, it's always at a restaurant. No matter if it's a big restaurant or a small restaurant in the food court, it just had to be an authorized restaurant. I was surprised that she actually let me buy one! What surprised me even more is that she let me choose the jumbo cheddar hotdog instead of the regular sized veggie hotdog. It tasted so good! The only bad thing is that parts of the bread keeps getting stuck in my braces.

The Vancouver Playhouse

I went to look for the Vancouver Playhouse today. Usually I don't take public transit anywhere, but my mom can't really drive in downtown because she gets confused by the streets way too easily. We planned to go at around 10:00 AM but ended up leaving at around 11:00 AM. First we drove to my art teacher's home because it was supposedly closer to the sky train station. After walking a bit, we soon realized it was actually farther away. To me it seemed to take forever to get to the sky train station on Marine Drive. Then we got onto the train going to Waterfront. We wanted to get off at the Granville Station but we couldn't find that station on the train we went on. So we got off at Waterfront then went back on the train to get off at the Vancouver City Center. At least I think that's what it is called. We soon found the playhouse after going in the opposite direction by mistake. On the way back my mom found this store which was selling clothing at a really low price. She wanted to stay but sadly I had Chinese class and we didn't even eat lunch yet. The whole point of this trip is so I have a chance of getting home without getting lost.

My Fear of Bees!

I don't know how I became so afraid of bees. I think it all started back in Grade 5 when I heard someone got stung by a bee and was sent off to the nurse's office crying. From then, I run when I see one. I'm not sure why I'm so afraid of them. My friends keep telling me, "Their so much smaller than you. You can CRUSH them!" In Grade 6, my fear became worse. When I see a bee or even hear someone shout BEE, I would run. Fast too. My friends would just watch me running, screaming, and waving my hands around screaming, "WHERE? WHERE?" They quickly took advantage of one of my biggest fears. Sometimes they would just shout, "BEE!!" and then point somewhere. Then they would watch me running around in a panic and finally realizing it was a trick. I know it's a joke, but it is still annoying. To this day, my panic meter has gone down quite a bit. Now, I don't usually scream but I still would jump up and run. Although, I don't fall for tricks as easily as I did before. So beware, I'll know it's a trick.

Sunday Night

Nothing really happened on my weekend. On Saturday I went to my Chinese class and went grocery shopping. Sunday is my relax day. I pretty much slept all day, nothing else. After dinner, I watched Pink Panther on TV. The first one not the second. During the commercials I went to do some of the homework that I had left. After I finished my homework, I sat down on my couch with my fancy chocolates I got for my birthday to continue watching. I opened it and looked at some of the chocolates. I wanted to eat a truffle but I held the box upside down so I ate a peanut butter crispy by accident. Near the end of the movie, my friend called me to ask if her agenda was at my home. I looked around for it and found it sitting on my computer table. Soon she came to pick it up. It was raining outside and her house was about a 10 minute walk to my place. I gave her the agenda and talked for a while. I felt bad for her that she had to walk in the rain. Maybe I should have told her I could just give it to her on Monday.

A Strange Dream From Before

I remember I had a really strange dream during the summer. I was at a mountain about to go skiing. I don't how to ski very well so I was having some second thoughts about going down a what looks like a dangerous slope. Just when I was about to turn back, an instructor pushed me and down the slope I went. I was wobbling down and almost falling every turn. All of a sudden, I saw a flash of white by a tree. I turned my head back and I saw a enormous mutant rabbit chasing me! It chased me down the slopes and  I almost hit a tree. The dream ended there. When I looked at the clock, the time was around 3:00 AM. I went to the washroom and quickly fell asleep again. I don't understand why I always get all these weird dreams. Maybe I ate something before going to bed that had too much sugar or something. The dreams are quite amusing. After I wake up that is.

Wierd Dream

I had a really weird dream last night. In the dream, I went to this restaurant that I have never seen before late at night, alone. I took a seat in this small wooden chair and looked at the worn out menu. The waiter soon came to take my order. He had a Australian accent and said, "What's you order, mate?" I ordered a roasted whole chicken (without the head) and the special dessert of the day. While I was waiting for my dishes, I looked at an old grandfather clock across the room and saw the time was around 11:50 PM. Soon after, my order came. The dessert was cake like but looked for like pudding. Just as soon as I was about to dig in and eat, the clock struck midnight. Cuckoo-cuckoo, cuckoo-cuckoo! I turned around to see a clock that seemed to appear out of nowhere. I was about to continue eating but then the roasted chicken started to slowly stand up. After it fully stood up, the dessert started to change into the shape of a bird's head! It sort of said something in gibberish that sounded something like, "Goolooguabalooo." Then I heard a beeping sound and woke up. My alarm clock just saved me from a standing roasted chicken and a mutant dessert.
